302 w/ low compression

I need of some help... just bought a 1984 f150 w/ 302 and auto trans about 3 months ago. Out of the blue yesterday I decided to do a compression test on my truck. The passenger head was 110 all the way down but when I got to the driver head the first cylinder was 65 and the rest was 110 or 115. So im wondering what might cause this. Possibly a valve seal??? I also have a problem with the engine blowing oil out the breather on the driver side. Im wondering if its possible that those two things are related because the oil isnt a steady stream, it comes out in short burst. Thank ypu in advance

The two are related, bowing oil out of the breather and low compression on cylinder #5 would tell me you have bad rings on that side. I bet if you take the filler cap off and run the engine I bet you would get puffs of smoke out of the cap from the blow by in cylinder 5.

If it's puffing, it's usually a broken ring. That sparkplug should also be very oily/dirty.
