302 swap question

I have a 65 F100 that has the inline 6 in it. I just pulled that and have some V8 perchs. The top frame holes line up with the perchs but the cross member holes aren't even close. In fact the drivers side perch is almost off the cross member. Are these right? I will try to insert a picture

If you are using 68-79 302 perches they should be bolt hole exchange, although I believe the use the other hole set than the 6 banger.

The I6 and FE 352 used the same perches.

So these must not be 302 perchs?

Seem to recall when I swapped 240 for the 302, which believe is the same perch for the 300, 352, and the 390, I used the same perch: CSTZ-6028-C (RH) and C5TZ-6029-C (LF)? I installed the engine and trans as a unit, set in place and marked the location of the new holes? Do not recall the how far off I had to shift the perch?

Since the 302 was not offered 61-66, as John mentioned you should check the 68-72 mounts for correct application.

Still in the infancy stage of learning how to maneuver thru the Ford Master Parts Catalog so you may want to wait for a member to confirm the following info? Referring to Section 60.5 Front engine mount chart, on page 3 the item description for the 302 list Part Number: DOTZ-6028-A (RH). Part Number: DOTZ-2829-A (LF) bracket.

Since the 302 was not offered 61-66, as John mentioned you should check the 69-72 mounts for correct application.

Same engine perches: 1977/79 F100/350 351M/400 2WD; 1969/79 F100 302; 1975/79 F150 302 =

D7TZ-6028-B 351M/400 Right replaced D0TZ-6028-A 302 & D7TZ-6029-B 351M/400 Left replaced D0TZ-6029-A 302

302 introduced in late 1969 F100.

Bill; As always, thank you for the updated info. For the newbie's; strongly suggest bookmark Bill's (NumberDummy) post/thread for future reference purposes.
I certainly have and referred to them on several occasions.

Goes without saying, with the swap one should use the 302 flywheel.

Looking at the first photo, you should look under the perch for an extra bolt hole and farther towards the front of the truck for another. I don't know if you have some grease in the holes or not but it looks to me like the perch is to far to the rear of the truck My 66 has 2 sets of holes in the top frame rail. You should look at the Fordification.com site. Go to "Tech Articles" and look at "Comparison of Engine Perches".

No the cross member is clean. No holes farther forward that line up. With that being said I wonder if the perchs I have are wrong?

65 never came with a 302. So if these are 302 perchs there wouldn't be any cross member holes that line up right?

Your perches look right to me compared to my photos and my FE perch. Yours are 302 perches. I went out and measured the distance between the forward hole in my perch and the the forward hole in the extra set of holes in my frame and it is 2 3/8 in inches. The extra set of holes in my frame are for a power steering perch. I am converting to power steering in my truck and have to use the front set of holes to mount my perch. I am also using a small block Ford. I also had to use a pointed tool to find this hole. It was full of dirt, mud, grease, I couldn't see it, but it was where they said it would be.
