How easy/hard is it to change a fuel injector on a 2000 3.0 FF? The engine was running rough. I replaced the plugs and wires because it needed it. Checked all the vacumn lines. I did the hose to the ear over the injector thing and found one not clicking. Thankfully it is under dizzy so I won't have to pull the upper intake ...I think. Unless someone tells me different.

Good troubleshooting with your home made stethoscope.
Lets think about your findings some more, before you yank that injector.
Injectors rarely go bad, but electrical connections do!!!! So make shure the injectors electrical connector is fastened securely.
If so, wiggle the injectors connector while the engne is running & see if it'll wake up.
If so, pull the injectors electrical connector & check for corosion, bent or pushed back pins or sockets, cut mashed, or otherwise damaged wires.
If all that checks out, but it still doesn't wake up, at KOEO, check for +12 VDC at the injectors wiring harness.
If that checks out, measure the injectors resistance with your multimeter.
If that checks out, then install a "Noid" light & and start the engine to see if it's getting a ground pulse from the computer & the light blinks.
If you can easily come by a Noid light from your autoparts stores "Loan-A-Tool" program, do it first & maybe save doing some of the other tests.
By then you should have some idea of whats really going on with that injector.
A bunch more thoughts for pondering.
Let us know what you find.
My son told me that injectors rarely wear out, too. Yes, I tried the "wiggle" method. Nope, didn't work. Connections are clean and straight. Here is my "Hillbilly Method" (with apologies to all offended Hillbillies). I went out to the barn and located an injector from a 302. HHHMMM....might work. Pulled the connector from an injector I know to work. Plugged in the 302 injector and it worked. Pulled the connector from the non-working injector and plugged in the 302 injector. It worked again. Does this mean everything electrical is ok but the injector is not? Was worth a try. I have noticed something going wrong over the past couple of months. I thought it was bad wires and plugs. So, it didn't go out fast but over a period of time.

I like your practicality, any port in a storm lol & yes having a spare injector laying around & substituting that just proven operating injector into the circuit that has the non-operating injector & having it work, was a good idea & is a valid circuit check.
If you are of a mind to & have a multimeter, you could do a resistance check of the questionable injector, just to double check. It should read about 12-16 ohms.
Unfortunately, I don't have an ohm meter. Any idea how to change that puppy without pulling the upper intake? I am hoping that the lines are flexible enough so I won't have to.
Okay, I took the plunge this morning without nary a repair manual or parts store open today. I loosened the the three nuts that hold on the coil pack and found something I didn't want to see. The bracket that holds the coil pack that runs down to the exhaust manifold, the bolt head was broken. Oh well, that project can wait for another day. I relieved the fuel pressure. Unplugged all the electrical connections, then removed the 2 bolts holding on the fuel rail. Pulled up and was able to get to the offending injector. The hardest part was getting out the old O-ring from the rail. Didn't know why it didn't come out with the injector. The injector at the back of the engine would've been easier to get to and the one in front would've been harder. I won't go there with the driver side, so I am happy changing the middle one. Wow! E-85 sure stinks! And the smell lasts a long time too. It will have to wear off my fingers. Put it all back together and it runs! Runs a lot better! I did guess and repair properly. My wife will let me know if I didn't!

Good to hear you were able to get to & replace that pesky injector & it's runnng better.
If you haven't already done it while replacing the injector, you might consider pulling the B-battery cable, for 20 min or so, or turn on an electrical load, after it's pulled, to wipe the computers memory, so it can begin to relearn what it needs too after the injector replacement. This may speed up it's ability to run even better, a little faster.
