We are changing the heater core in a 98 mountaineer and have the dash loose but cannot figure out how to disconnect the wire bundle to remove the dash. I see the large pull handle that attaches to,the firewall pass thru but cannot figure out how to remove it. We are only inches away from it coming out! I am on very limited time so any help,quickly would be appreciated.

 

Did you loosen the three bolts on the engine compartment side holding the wiring harness connectors to the other side of the "handle"?
