Im beginning to think that I need a whole forum dedicated to my trucks wiring issues ... I finally got my reverse lights to work but my newest issue Is that while driving tonight i lost power to my parking lights, my instrument cluster lights, and my heat control lights... everything still works inside (gauges all act properly but they won't light up) and i still have turn signals and brake lights, and headlights. I really don't know where to start with this one. I don't have an owners manual so i can't figure out what fuses to check or what relays to look at. does anybody have any experience with this? i could really use some help
You can also go to autozone's site and see what they have. The last time I looked they only went up to 2005 but you can check and see if it's the same as a 2007. Or they may have updated by now and may have a 2007. Just register and go to "vehicle repair guides" on the right side of the page above the advertisement. Their diagrams are very good for 2000-up trucks.
I have 07 f250 super duty, having same trouble,parking/running lights/dash lights/tail lights, out ck fuse blown, change fuse blows instantly.drove home on 4way blinkers, light switch lose and smelling burnt, replace switch $111.00 ford lights worked tested 2 times.drove 2 days later that night noticed, no lights fuse blown again, replaced, keeps blowing instantly. Any one have a clue. To help us
Do you have any added lighting? Like aftermarket lighted running boards, a camper top, added lights in the rear? Is the trailer wiring aftermarket or factory? Roof lights and are they factory?
Only had the truck for 4 months now ,drove it maybe 6 times.someone replaced the fog lights with a led light bar.pick the truck up in Tulsa Oklahoma, September 21 drove it to in. Took 2 days ,drove it around mostly in daylight, took it to Indianapolis in .2 1/2 hr drive everything fine got on expressway to head back ,dash lights went out. Ck fuse blown, replaced blew again. Drove home on 4ways.cut wire to light bar, fuse still blows, smelt burning plastic at light switch, replaced switch, out of 15amp fuses so I installed 10amp.lights work, hook light bar back up,it works also .2 days later take it to Chicago hr.drive go to leave no dash lights ,stop for fuses it's blowing fuses. Drove home on 4ways again. Parked it. Was Goin to cut light bar wires again, when I get time. Any ideas
Look the truck over carefully. Look for any other added lights or messed up trailer wiring at the rear bumper or for a gooseneck/5th wheel hitch wiring.
Exactly what number fuse is blowing and in which fuse box? I still only have 2005 diagrams but maybe they are the same.
The fuse is located inside fuse box under and to the left of steering wheel. Don't have a manual, on the fuse box cover it says to refer to manual for fuse identity, when I can I will cut rows from left to right, and bottom up, to get u location or get pic. I know it's blue 15amp above a yellow 20 amp just left of center, about in center or just under centet, headlights work ,turn, brake ,radio, cig lighter , what don't work is , dash, tail ,marker, lights.I did notice right marker light the bulb is melting through the plastic reflector in front head light assembly, it was like that when I bought it. It's no worse now than it was. Just odd that it all worked after I replaced light switch, for short time.it seems like it happens if it's driven for over an hr or 2, with the exception 2 days of driving it home from Oklahoma. OH I think it's like me it doesn't like the cold and it's lettinge know that.
Autozone does have 2007 now. You should really go there and hunt around, they have a lot of info on there. Here's a diagram of the fuse box under the dash. The fuse box inside the cab is called the "central fuse box" and the one out under the hood is called the "battery fuse box".
