Anybody use one to rewire your truck? How did it work? The things I am most concerned with are how it hooks up to the dash, and if the harness is long enough to reach comfortably across the entire length of my single cab, longbed truck.
dewd,
I see from your other posts that you are having major issues with your wires. I don't know how much you know about wiring, but it isn't that hard on a 12v system. If you have someone who can explain the wiring diagram, then that is half the battle.
Now, back to your question: EZ harnesses do have the marked wires for most of what you will need. Except for the plug going to the Duraspark. All of the wires will need to be landed (ended either with a butt or lug connection, usually). I have an EZ harness with fuse block sitting in my garage. It's about a year old but never used. PM me if you want. I used a Painless fuse block and ran my own wires. This allowed me to stop at certain points and still use my truck.
Thank you for the reply! I am pretty inexperienced when it comes to wiring. My truck is points and condenser, so I should be safe not having connections for the Duraspark.
I will most definitely PM you. Thank you very much.
Oh yeah, one of the other things about this harness is the wire for the gauges. I don't know how this one works, since there is a resistor in line for the stock gauges. I ran aftermarket gauges, so the hook-up was easier.
