06 E150 ride height
I had the guy at the tool rental place say to me my van was low in the back and asked what was I carrying. The van was nearly empty. How high should my rear wheel arches be above the ground if the van is nearly empty?

I placed a 2X4 on the floor of the van at the rear and let it stick out the open back doors. Floor to bottom of 2X4 is 25 inches so I guess I am a little low.

And since you are at it, get new shock absorbers. I have Bilstein for E350 on all four corners and I love them.
You may want to change the front springs too. I went with Moog CC880. I tried the CC860S and they were too tall and soft, I felt like riding a pogo stick.

You are absolutely right. My point about the shock absorbers was tha if the springs are fatigued, chances are the shock absorbers are fried. Since he will be toying with the springs, it will be a good time to change the SA.
