My driver's side sits one inch lower than the passenger, it's a cargo van. Is it most likely a weak or broken coil spring? If I get new springs where should I get ones that won't raise the front so much that I'll need to raise the rear? I'm not worried about comfort, I'd rather have stiffness and handling. I also need shock recommendations.
I use this for my remodeling business, I already have cheap helper springs on the rear cause it already sits lower than the front. What's my best option if I need to beef up and raise the rear? Thanks.
Any will have the front higher, because the rear has likely sagged too. I picked up a set of coils from Advance for a friends van, his wheelchair lift has broken down the passenger side really bad, I got the heavy duty set, they are basically 3/4 ton coils.
Both of the front springs on my 87 E150 broke at the top. I think the first few inches of each top coil were snapped off...it wasn't a lot but you could see it when the was parked with only one broken.
Spend lots on the shocks. I put on a new set of cheap ones and my van is scary when loaded. I noted that the physical diameter of the replacements was half of the ones I took off. The E150 sucks for loading anyway...how many days do new front rotors last on your van before they warp? Next time I'll get an E-350 or a big Dodge.
