Gage cluster
Hello is it possible to swap my gauge cluster.for on that has a tachometer? Mine didn't have one and I found a nice unit with one..how would I wire it up? I would like to have a tachometer set up.for my 1997 f-350 with the 460... would it to hard to switch them out and hook up.the tachometer?

Watch eBay. I just won one with a tach for less than 30 delivered. It had a busted plastic cover. I will simply use my old cover. As rollings said, watch your year models. I believe they can all be made to interchange with some wiring changes if you know what you are doing, I don't, so mine was the same year, plug and play.

From my understanding 92-93 are the same, 94-95, and 96-97. If you do use say a 92-93 in a 94-95 year range I read on here one guy had an issue with battery charging since the battery gauge on his was slightly different and not allowing alternator to charge the battery. Hence why I paid extra to get the right year range. Which I have yet to install.

Yes you need a gas one. Diesels were different clusters.
Most on eBay will say gas or diesel in the title for that reason.

I have a cluster with tach that I bought for my '95 truck, but I really wanted the 120mph Lightning cluster which I found later, so I have no use for the cluster. If you think you can make it work, I'll let you have it for $50.00
