C4 behind 351M

I was surprised to find a C4 behind the 351M in my '78 GT. The 351M has the same bellhousing pattern as the 429/460, does it not? I never knew there were "big block" C4s.

yup, 351M uses the 460 bolt pattern.
is it a C-4, or a C-5? they look the same.
never saw a C-4 with a 460 bolt pattern.maybe some modified the bellhousing to make it fit?

Door code says C4 so it's a factory setup.

Perhaps since the 351M is packing a whopping 134HP Ford thought the C4 could handle it. :-)

My uncle has a bell for a C4 to match a 351M 400.
