which batteries

Since the cold is sitting in, I have noticed in the mornings the trucks batteries are getting weak. My question is which ones do you guys recommend? Not getting the ford ones since I know they are to pricey, biggest thing is I'm looking for the best bang for the buck.

On any diesel I have owned that needed new batteries, I have always had great luck with Duralast batteries(yellow). Friends of mine have had good experiences with them too in diesel applications.

Around here the Motorcraft ones are the "best bang for the buck". Especially if you have one go bad on the road, dealerships are everywhere. Ford ones here are around $115 each.

Have you done any maintenance on your batteries? I "revived" my original 2011 batteries this time last year with a good top-up of distilled water, and a good cleaning (case and terminals). I also replaced the rotting, original battery blankets.

If you have a Costco near they have good batteries and a good price. I run Costco batteries my truck, tractor and 5th wheel with good service and usually long life. I just replaced my Original motorcraft 2011 batteries with new Costco ones. If I remember right they were around $90.00 each.

Sounds about right on pricing from what I saw a couple weeks ago. Costco is currently selling Interstates as well.

Motorcraft has always been my choice and price has always been the best. Here is a link to coupons for Ford Services which includes batteries. There are coupons for 84 month and 100 month. In the past the 84 month batteries have done well.

Well I ended up getting napa 75 month batteries, got them for 102 a piece. No I really didn't do any maintenance on my old ones. Didn't see any corrosion on the terminals so figured since they were the original batteries since the truck was new it was time to replace them.
