I've done this too, but on a gravel driveway. It wasn't as pleasant as I imagine a smooth, painted concrete surface would be!

I use what ever engine degreaser is the cheapest and some walmart or what ever plastic bag and cover the alternator, fuse box etc. and take it to the car wash and soap really good getting close n dirty - then rinse towel down the covered up parts and good to go. No worries Daniel
