One of my vehicle's engines is pretty dirty from driving through some muddy water puddles. Now that it has dried out, it's left behind some dried dirt and lots of gunk.
I've seen the engine degreaser spray cans and I've read the instructions. I also have a pressure washer at home.
I would appreciate anyone's advice on how to give an engine a good cleaning as I don't want to do any damage. Thanks.
We always used the car wash's pressure washer. Just make sure you've got a can of WD-40, as you may need to spray the distributor cap out with it after.
Spray the engine cleaner onto a warm engine, let sit about 20 minutes, rinse off with warm water from a regular garden hose. I would not use a pressure washer on an EFI engine.
