Prices are definitely going up

I've had 3 1960's and sold the last one about 5 years ago. Judging by the prices on them today, I pretty much gave it away. Project trucks are selling for an unbelievable (in my opion) price. I wonder why all the interest in these trucks when years ago, there was just a select few of us that liked them. Any Ideas?

It depends on where you live. I live in Arkansas and projects are everywhere here and no one's in a real rush to buy them unless they're priced at about $1500 or less. Some have been on CL for over a year now. A lot of it has to do with the rust issues I'm sure. I got my '74 F250 for $2200 with a fairly recent rebuild motor. Got my '69 F250 for $1K solid body does need a motor and some refurbishment. My '62 I got for $1K and its getting a frame-up. Granted, F250s don't have the interest that the F1s and F100s do. Cars still outprice trucks by far and some say they look better but I quit cars a few years ago---trucks are simply easier to tackle and the parts situation is better.
Happy New Year !

They are starting to appear on multiple TV shows in the last few months. Fast & Loud has 2 in the parking lot with one in the shop having a major customizing job done to it.

There are a couple of other shows that have had them as well, but I cant think of them right now.

Also, they have just about done everything they can to the 53-56's! Except leave them alone!

yeah I was going to say the same thing. One of the lesser reasons I like the F250s and F350s, they don't usually get butcherd.

If you shop for trucks or parts on 57-60 venues, you'll find the prices are very high. But if you check around at the local swap meets or local classifieds, you will find good deals. Some guys seem to be trying to scoop up all of the trucks & parts from 57-60 & reselling them at a premium....

I picked my 57 for $600, and had it running after a few hours of tinkering. The deals are still out there. Look beyond the year/model specific forums.
