Finally got around to taking the spare tire off the truck. It looks like the first time it was ever removed - yikes.
Will get it a new tire and get the wheel cleaned up.
Thought they would have been mounted with the valve stem down so you could check the air under truck and the inner mount on the brace would be against the outer face of rim.

The black marks were caused by me trying to ease the tire out before I got the bolts fully out. Wheel is all washed and looks great, nice beige color, new tire next weekend and then reinstall with new retaining bolts.
