Yes it can. My father had a semi tire blow on him some years ago. We are lucky to still have him here. That's 110psi. It threw him back and the tire and rim landed on him. It blew apart his knee. On the inside the way he landed. The place he worked at didn't have a cage. He left shortly after the accident after a disagreement with the owner. He still wrenching half days now getting ready for full retirement.

Wow, that’s a bit scary. I have never heard of that brand of tire? I wonder if it was right load rating for that truck.

I was gonna say the same thing. See it a lot with guys running bigger rubber who don't wanna pay to play and just run lower rated tires.

I've not heard of the brand either but looking at the general specs not knowing the specific size it's probably ok on the load rating.
Federal Tire - COURAGIA M/T - Dimension Data

Possibly a very old tire or could have been too wide to run in a dual wheel application and was rubbing the other tire.

The cut through the bead into the sidewall is puzzling. The bead is probably the strongest part of the tire and has wires running through it. Yet the picture seems to show a clean cut with no wires or rough edges showing.

A little failure analysis is in order.

According to the chart posted above, it also seems that most of this brand is LT rated tires. They shouldn't be trouble at 80 psi.

By the look seems he rubbed a curb or somethen acording to the white marks on the sidewall.Wonder what he > was < doing with them ATD needle noses?Looks like pry marks on the bead, could of come of the rim sitting on a flat tho. I see some weird crap everynight in work,of course the driver never done it !

i ran 11/2-2 ton flatbeds years ago,had the bars and big sledgehammer in the toolbox,so if you had a flat you got to break down the split ring type tire and patch it,along side the road, never had a problem, lucky i guess,

Made in Taiwan.

Check the bad reviews there's stories about the treads coming loose. Probably not the right tire for a work truck. Those panels on the side of the rack are to fill up with wood chips. Tires look like the truck squatted down and scraped the sidewalls.

That bead looks very odd, like it was cut or some odd manufacturing.
