Does anyone know the official name for these bumpers guards and where I can find some to fit my 79 Bronco. I don"t know why but I like the way they look and they are factory.
Nice truck LMC's on line site only showed the rubber guards available? Unless I am missing something? How are they holding up as far as quality and chrome platting?
I did buy them from LMC along with the bumper. Mine were the Ford NOS ones that used to be available. That was 6-7 years ago. I guess they have discontinued them now.
They are holding up great. No rust, chrome is still bright. I sliced a piece of tubing to run down the backside of the guards so they wouldn't rub the bumper.
Still looks good but then again, this truck rarely leaves the garage. I've put about 600 miles on it in 6-7 years.

Rethinking that statement. I'm thinking now that they were aftermarket because I saved the originals off the truck in a box. That means I wasn't sure on the quality of these. If they took a crap on me, I was going to rechrome those originals.
