Not sure you are supposed to SOTF with all the wheels up in the air... Pull forward is normal. I get that at times... It just means that the gears are not aligned and the truck is waiting for them to align to try again.
Nothing engages either, when the rear driveline moves by putting the truck in drive, the front doesn't move being in the air, hence the clunk. In the ground the front axle will rotate forward as the rear does once it is in gear.
I fixed it. When I had the truck up in air, I heard a lot of grinding coming from front passenger side hub. I pulled hub. It had a ton of metal and bearing just floating around. Changed hub and now it works beautifully!
