Spider assy sensor

What exactly is that sensor called? The one located at the bottom of the spider, that most people unplug. Can that sensor be removed, put a plug in its placed, and used somewhere else on the motor, to replace a bad sensor, if the spider sensor is good?

I think you are talking abought the AIT ( air intake temprature) that is nessecary for proper IDM function, the one every on disconnects is the EBPV on the pedestal it's below the spider you should put a resistor in it's place to avoid soft codes icant remember the value Radio Shack has them 5 for $3.99. The plug can be used for replacing the IPR if nessecary

Your right, rods. Thats not the sensor. I for got about that one. I meantthe one down on the pedestal. I have it unplugged, pedestal gutted..etc, what i'm asking, is if i can remove the sensor and plug the hole, but use the sensor elsewhere as a replacement, since that sensor is good? Or can i use it as a sensor for an another gauge?
