I have been "around the block" with F1 radiators. I discovered that original 65 year old radiators are repairable but fragile, and ultimately unrealiable. Modern radiators, that look like original equipment units, are readily available, however. I got mine from Classic Haulers. Re-coring an original is also an option, but at least in my local, I found this option to be prohibitively expensive. Good luck with your project--lots of helpful people on this forum.
I bought a new radiator for my I6 from LMC a couple of years ago and have been very saisfied with both appearance and performance. While the drain **** isn't in the exact right location, it doesn't create an overall fit issue. Looks like they are still about $250 a copy.
I also bought my radiator from LMC. It looks to be very well made. As Fortyniner said the drain **** is different than original and it also does not have the notch in the bottom tank to be able to use the hand crank on the engine.
