I'm trying to find something to occupy my time. It's going to have to be wood related with the 2 trucks in the shop where I can do anything with metal..

I do a lot of puzzles. Thought about getting an aircraft model this winter, haven't built one of those in years.

That's as big as they downloaded, Google ' world's fastest log car ' that's how I found it. I was watching Timber Kings, its a program about Pioneer log homes and some of their log home builds, nice log homes built by these guys. The car was a silly idea thought up by the rich version of us, might do something like this myself in a year or 2 now that I know its been done. Reminds me of Barney Rubble's car from the Flintstones.

I don't have any pictures . The doors are just 2x4's on 2 foot centers and sheets of 1/4" plywood on the outside to square the frames. The rigid Styrofoam insulation was trimmed to fit in snugly between the 2x4's after the doors were hung. I used 2 inch and 1 1/2 inch thick insulation to fill the thickness of the 2x4's , vapor barrier on the inside and metal siding on both sides . Before I installed the metal I used flashing metal to rap around the edges and that 1/8" thick rubber to seal out any wind.. I bought the heaviest hinges I could find but they weren't big enough for my liking so I welded additional metal to them so I could add more screws..I'll take closer pics for you if you think you need them..
