Must be Nap Time..........
Very long day yesterday......0900 - 2130......Banquet / Fundraiser for Theresa's school.......
We had Benjamin Watson for a speaker.....Very very good.....
Football hero.......New Orleans Saints, now moving to the Ravens.....
DWHIUA.......Pat beat me to asking cuz I didn't know it either.......Makes sense tho.
Cooler today, had to break out my jacket again......I knew I would so I just kept it in the pickup. Maybe some rain tomorrow.......we could use it. Irrigation district turned on the water a week early, so farmers are irrigating. I don't miss that part of life...lol.
I'm off to get the 13 year old grandaughter for a dinner date. Now that she's a teenager, I don't get to see her as much....active social life, you know.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Procedure and the VA hospital went very well today. They seem to be happy with the progress and I have graduated from every 3 months to every 6 months.
When we left the VA, we headed straight to Cabela's. The Warden kept her thumb on me the entire time. I only walked out with two items. A 20 megapixel HD, "black flash" game camera and a fishing pole. Warden snuck around and filled a basket...
When we got home she gave me a sign to hang out:
I THINK SHE WILL STAY HOME THE NEXT TIME I GO TO CABELA'S!
Checked on the MIL, via phone call to staff at the Cherry Wood Memory Care Center, the new home, to see how the first day after release from the hospital and her psychotic episode yesterday. They had a good report card and they had her doing things today that none of us would have ever expected at all. Said they had not seen any of the problems she had been experiencing. We were all very impressed and keeping our fingers crossed.....
Stopped at the farm on the way home just as the thunder and lightning began to hit. Power at the farm went out a bit later. It's still out and they aren't expecting to get it on until 2123 hours.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 35°. Raining cats and dogs and wind bringing it in sideways. Sounds like hail hitting the house instead of rain.
Been on the run since 0330. Another power outage at the farm, mom in the dark, tree down and just all sorts of fun. Was going to catch up on some other stuff that I got behind on dealing with the MIL, but I'm thinking it is taking back seat to a NAP.
Oh yes, the Warden informed my last night that a Gazebo for the back yard is to arrive today and if I got it put up today, we could have lunch "under the canopy" tomorrow. I'm afraid her delusions are going to cause her some great disappointment. I'm not even going fishing in this weather, does she really think I'm going to put up a glorified umbrella in the back yard?
A little bit of everything weatherwise today......cold and trying to snow first thing....followed by wind and clouds with just a little sunshine....then some rain, followed by hail, then more wind and rain, a little sunshine, then cold wind. Now the sun is poking out again, but not much warmth. I'm going to relax by the fire.
