tranny troubles
i just bought a 1995 f550w/ a 7.3 powerstroke 24k miles on it. I haul gazebos and sheds on a twenty foot trailer. Today after about 300 miles w/the trailer loaded the tranny didn't shift into OD on the highway and later started acting up when making other shifts. Could this be anything other then the entire tranny being bad. Funny thing is unloaded it shifts just fine.

Do not pass go and prceed to your transmition guy . I had the same problem . Do you also get a shudder that appears to be the front end shaking ? If you do , it is probably your converter . I had a bearing go and luckly caught it in time . Still cost me 2300 bucks to fix . I hope you dont have the same problem , but a trip to the transmition shop early may save you some money .
