cold air in take?????

i thought that the cold air systems sucked in cold air from out of the engine compartment, hence the name cold air intake.

cold air in take?????

Cold air I beleive is for like ricers and so fourth. My cousin has a Eclispe, and has a cold air intake, and the intake is raight at the front bumper, at the bottom. but its illegal. Mine is a fuel injection preformance kit. it allows more air to be sucked in, allowing a quicker response. Read the website, it has more details. But for a ranger to get "cold air" you would have to bend the tubing and get it near the front bumper or something. That would probably included taking or jerry riging the Mass air sensor to it.
