I purchased a 2016 f350 XLT 6.7 it's basically two weeks old with roughly 1500 the horsepower and fuel economy is incredible however it's developed a terrible shake during regen which I'm sure you're all aware of is an ongoing problem just wondering if anyone has insight into when they're going to solve this problem I hate to think I have to lemon law this truck it occurs every time regen and shifting down isn't helping hard to believe a two week old truck has to go back to the dealer and from what I'm reading it sounds like they're not solving it anyway wondering if anyone has any other information oh and Merry Christmas
I'm moving this one to the 6.7L forum since this is an engine-related issue. I don't mean to sound rude, but with no punctuation your post is very difficult to read. In the future we'll have an easier time understanding your post if you throw in a few periods.
On our 15. I have no issues with 10K.
The problem could be as simple as a loose wire or something more involved. These engines are very sensitive to the regen cycle as everything is controlled by the computer. Lots of sensors in the exhaust system. Take to dealer ASAP and they will make things right.
Enjoy the new rig.
Well thank you for moving into the correct section. I'll try to get my punctuation correct it seems that if Ford would worry about this problem as much as you worry about my punctuation it wouldn't be an issue lol. I'm glad to hear you're not having trouble with yours , but if you do a little research there's quite a bunch of people complaining I hate to think I have too R&D research for Ford Motor Company with a $56,000 truck. Planning on taking the truck back Monday but with no error codes being thrown they'll just give me the basic answer like other people complaining just do a little Google search for shaking regen . I'm planning on video taping it and posting it up on the web so you'll have an understanding of my situation its not a loose wire that would be too easy thanks again hopefully somebody with this experience can chime in and see how they're making out with a specialist
As I said, most with this issue are waiting for the TSB software update. Ford hasn't announced a date yet but has indicated it will be in the first quarter of 2016.
You're kidding I have to wait for them to solve the problem on a known issue from last year. I've been a long term Ford supporter this will probably be the last ford . Can't trust the company that will sell you a vehicle with a known issue and they're working on it that's fine , fix it and I'll make the first payment lol thank God I'm in New York state unfortunately it won't be my first vehicle that I've had to get a lawyer involved in

You obviously don't know New York State's return laws its under 20 days had the same argument with a BMW dealer took the car back it's called misrepresentation of sale any day you think it's acceptable for a company to sell a vehicle with a known issue and then, tell me there's no damage going on while it's backfiring into itself have a drink today take care
It is crappy of them to keep selling vehicles that they know can have an issue they can't fix. even if its a small percentage, they are aware the issue exists and have had years to diagnose and correct it. It truly is a ford gremlin.
Now please don't turn this into a I'm right you're right post I would love to hear from somebody who has the known issue and if you talk to Ford higher ups and are getting anywhere

Should it happen? No. Is it harming anything? No. Will it be fixed under warranty? Yes. Personally, the time, energy, and anger you are (and will be if you go the legal route) investing in this would not be worth my time knowing that the solution will be sooner rather than later. Don't let frustration ruin your Christmas. Or do. You're choice...
The legal action is a simple letter and I'm not angry . I simply want $50,000 + truck to go to work everyday and not need to go to a dealer within 2 weeks and you're completely wrong about the engine not being damaged there's different variables of how this shaking occurs mine is quite violent brothers friend is a diesel mechanic said I wouldn't keep it make them fix it or replace it. I would take his word over yours 35 years in the business he drove the truck personally
