The Aiwa's skip quite a bit, I have had it skip even hitting very mild dips in my development. I actually just upgraded to a Panasonic touch screen receiver, sound and skip protection dominate over the Aiwa. But it was cheap!!

Glad i ran up on this post, i'm thinking of upgrading also.
The link for the instructions show yrs 92-95, would the '96 be the same? - my radio does look diff, but i guess the u deal would be my concern of removing because i've never looked at mine at that detail, thought it had allen head screws (too lazy to go out and look right now)
Also, what about the amp deal - as far as adding additional for us deaf old folks, the new radio harness to amp wiring deal sounds confusing to me.
Also for one of my '79s, i saw a ford 8 track for a '79 on e-bay the other day ....... tee hee
Man, a big leap from stock to cd. YOU may have talked endroad_06 into it, i'm still at the very limited exp when it comes to radios

the only thing crutchfield is good for is finding what will fit your vehicle, then you go to bestbuy or equal and but it. crutchfield is way too expensive in my opinion. propertyroom.com has some good stuff, cheap too. -wb
