Been chasing my tail and can't figure out an electrical issue. any advice is greatly appreciated.
My issue is that I'll drive for about 20-30 min and the truck will shut off while driving. I'll pull off the road, let it sit for 10-20 min (cool down) and It will fire back up and go for another 15 min or so. Sometimes it will glitch/wig out when i try to start or not start....
I've replaced the following and monitored everything on a scanner.
-cam sensor
-crank sensor
-2 new batteries
-flashed the ecu
What are your water and oil temperatures with digital gauges? Codes being thrown, or wrench light, can go into limp mode? Do you have a scangauge or a DashBoss?
I use a Snap-on Solus scanner. No codes, wrench or limp mode. Temperatures are right where they need to be. My buddy/mechanic monitors them while we drive around.
You didn't have an ICP code but check the ICP connector, located in the passenger valve cover, for oil. If oil is present, ICP is probably bad.
Rotate the 30 amp relays in the power panel under the steering column. You PCM power relay may be going bad. I replaced all of the 30 amp relays at 65k miles because I had problems with two of them.
If you have a lot of miles on the truck, the 70 amp FICM power relay located under the hood may be failing. Mine did at 125k.
