was curious if anyone knows if the split bench in the supercabs was the same as the split bench for the 78-79 broncos. my 79 F350 seat passenger latch is inop and been looking at seat covers on LMC. Also looking for seat hinge covers. Man super cabs have a few parts hard to find...had to make my own headliner..desperatley searching for drivers drip rail chrome...first ill deal with my worn seat cover. Thanks
I notice those Dennis Carpenter seat hinge covers are for '74-77 trucks. Are '78 & '79 seats different? When I bought my '79 Supercab, the previous owner had put chrome hinge covers on them, but they don't fit right. I remember him telling me that you can't get the exact chrome covers anymore.
Yes those are for a 74-77, I have seen the 78/79 mount with a spring clip attached to the cover and clips on the lower part of the hinge and a phillps head screw on the back side edge. I figure they could be made to work?
It seems that the 78-79 split bench hinge covers are a curved gentle radius with no flat spot like the ones in all the catalogs. The broncos are different. I attatched an image. March..thanks for the lead on the seats..going to check them out..unfortunately..the supercab drip rail trim is discontinued at MAC's. As far as my headliner goes..used my factory vinyl cover..that was mint. Made a new board out of some thin fiber board from homedepot..but had to splice on a small pc with fiberglass since the dimensions of headliner are over 4 feet front to back. Worked great..thanks for all the replies..luv this forum. Regards

Crap! Dennis Carpenter no longer carries them either. I was not in a hurry because of seen them in a couple of different catalogs. I just tried to order some from a place called Chucks Trucks. Hopefully he doesn't just buy stuff from DC. I'll let you know if they have them.

Yes, the size is a problem. I've seen others use fiberglass to splice or even just start from scratch. I'm not savvy with fiberglass, so I found a thin chair mat for hardwood floors and covered it with vinyl. It sags just a little, so some day I will take it down and add something to stiffen it just a bit.
