I recall a few years ago someone had door and kick panel templates that they traced onto paper. I was seeing if anybody has them still or could make ones for me based upon their backing board. I am willing to pay for time and shipping the paper templates to me. I just don't see spending over 300 bucks buying abs ones from mid fifty when I could make my own. Plus one more thing I could say I did myself.
Nothing hard about making templates off your own doors/cab, then you can REALLY say "I did it myself". I use anything from corrugated cardboard from old boxes to heavy construction paper.
A roll of masking paper used for painting is a decent method for step one. If not wide enough masking tape will fix that. Then transfer to something stiffer if you like.
Thanks for the responses guys. I tried the cardboard route and couldn't get the cuts right for some reason. I will try the masking tape route, did not think of that one. If it doesn't work I'll look around at midfifty or eBay.
Midfifty F100 sells imperfect door panels for $20/pair. That would be a good deal as all the holes would be perfectly located. The ebay paper templates are expensive for what you get. They are basically just masking paper and don't appear to have the mounting holes located. I would trace mine for you but they are covered and locating the mounting holes accurately would be difficult.
If you want to try to make your own again I would start with the basic rectangle shape. You should be able to measure and cut that out perfectly on a flat work surface. Then tape that to your truck to finish the curve and mark the holes. The kicks should be fairly easy.
Yeah I will give that a try and if it doesn't work out the way I like I will try the midfifty pair for the locating holes and go from there, thanks again

If cardboard gave you problems, I say try it again. You don't want to be practicing with expensive ABS.
