Fuel level indication

Hi,
I have been having a lot of issues with my fuel indication system.
Cant find the ICVR.

I have a spare VDO fuel level gauge - 12Vdc 10 -193 ohm.

I installed a new tank and sender at the same time last year. It was the smaller of the two tanks available.

Does anybody know the ohm scale of the sender?

I have read that I can not use 12V ( only 5V) on the sender unit. Is this true?

Has anybody done something like this to get a fuel level reading?

I believe the ICVR is on the back side of the instrument cluster panel. Or are you talking the "part" itself?

How the hell ya been, Brother Man? Hope everything is good/your people are well at home. Been meanin' to yak at ya fer a while but the 'ol grey matter ain't been the same for a coulpa years. No excuses for procrastination, I know...

The OP (BGF100) has a few posts on this page about the same thing already...look 'em up....He's having a problem 'cause he has an Australian truck...RHD, and the cluster, etc is different than ours here in the states. Maybe you being a world traveler could shed some light on the deal.
