1979 dash removal

I'm in the process of taking my 79 for truck down to bare metal and was wondering if anyone had taken the complete dash off. I've looked and it appears that I only found 5 bolts.does that sound right? I have everything else off already. Dash pad is off the heater controls are off trim pieces.

Look at the far left and right upper edge, right where the dash meets the top part of the kick panel. There might be a bonded or just sealant on it metal tab there on each side?

Instrument cluster? Defrost vent, center speaker wiring, steering column bracket, the long wiring harness going side to side in the plastic black tube that is slit down the side?

Got it removed. Not that big of a deal.

I am sure you can figure out the vents and the vent outer piece, careful the mount tabs break easily.

There are a bunch of screws along the top of the dash pad, facing upward toward the windshield. Then there are 5 bolts, I think. One at either side of the cab, two in the steering column support, and one in the E-Brake mount. I had mine out for paint not too long ago.

That looks kind of like mine. I took the dash out to install A/C decided to paint it to match the truck instead of the black that it was.
