Death Wobble
#16
Got the new shocks put on today, but for some reason I managed to order the wrong steering stabilizer. Ordered one for 05-07 instead. Doesn't fit btw. So have to return it and order the correct one.
Took it for a short test drive, ride seems nicer in most cases, but rough expansion joints still seem the same as before. I was surprised how much longer the Bilstein's were than the original shocks.
Rears weren't too bad to put on, pretty straight forward and easy. The front's were a huge pain in the ***, upper bolts were badly rusted and took most of the day to get the front pair off. Won't need it again for a few years, and will definitely have a big hoss air compressor on hand to spin my impact wrenches. Instead of John Wayne'ing them off by hand with an open end wrench.

Correct steering stabilizer arrived yesterday. Installed it last night. Made a huge difference during test drive over known problem roads that would start the death wobble. Drives like a new truck again. At least in my truck, replacing the stabilizer fixed my wobble issues.
