Yup, you should have the 8.8" rear axle for that configuration. It's not the 8.8" axle of yore, but a heavily beefed up version that's new for the 2015 F150. Lots of components are larger, so I'm not sure if you'll find a locker that would fit it.
I wouldn't bother with one unless you're into off-roading. Modern traction control will brake the spinning wheel to transfer power which makes it act like a limited slip. I've had the E-locker in my last two trucks and have never found a practical use for it. =

Even in my FJ I never did any trails that I needed the locker. It seems with the size of the F150 that very few owners would be in a situation where a locker was needed(with 4wd, of course). The trails I did with my FJ were tight. I can't even fathom taking my F150 on them.
I've driven up and down the NC beaches, and never needed a locker. Granted the F-350 had trouble at 60 PSI in the tires and being on street tires, but it didn't get stuck. Just couldn't pull out another truck.
The TJ stays in 2 by most of the time out there. Just use 4wd to go off and on through the entrance ruts. Haven't had the f-150 out yet though.
I'd say you would probably be good with out. But Id like to hear what beaches you hit and what the sand is like.
So far at 2200 miles the oil percentage is at around 80%.
1)Reading the manual, the computer will decide when to perform an oil change. With the current information that I see on the screen, the oil change will
be around 10,000 miles. Is this common?
It seems so counter intuitive and pretty much against what we have been used to.
I sure would like to know if you, or any of you, have performed a 3000-5000 mile oil change with mild engine stress as outlined in the manual.
2)I also canʻt insert a CD in to my stock CD player. The player will not accept a CD at all.
I plan to make a service appointment for this issue some time this week.
3)Is there a benefit to blocking off the VTA other than having that pressure release sound?
4)Will the 2.7 benefit from a CAT back exhaust system? I would like to use a Magnaflow CAT back, but I am not sure if spending 700.00 is worth it and
I am not sure if the exhaust note will be an uncool souped up tractor sound.
As you can tell, I want to do stupid stuff to the truck, so please school me on the 2.7 Ecoboost DOES AND DONʻTS.

Yup, that's very common. I'll be changing mine every 7,500 for my peace of mind. It's just for me though, I don't think the engine will care.

Had to Google that one, I hadn't heard of that before. Looks like it's just to make the blow-off valve louder.

Turbocharged engines generally don't benefit from exhaust mods. There is significantly more restriction going into the turbos than the exhaust would ever have, and I've never heard of anyone with meaningful gains. My truck sounds like an angry vacuum cleaner on the best of days, so there's no way I'd want that louder.

This is easy! Put the credit card away and drive the truck.

We hit 5500 miles at the 6-month mark. The oil indicator on the dash said 45%, so I think it must be pretty common. I took it in for 6 months of service anyway. Age matters as much (or more?) than the mileage.
I know this is about '15 or newer... but does the '14 have a different OLM computer? I seem to average roughly 5-7k between oil changes as the manual says I should do it every 7,500 IIRC... but it also has extended usage parameters which calls for more frequent changes at 5,000 instead.
does the '14 and the '16 have different 3.5EB engines? BTW my truck just came in from the delivery point from the OEM so its at the dealer now... 2016 F150 Platinum FX4 SCREW
