Programing a new alarm remote?
Anybody familiar with how to program a new remote for a "DEI" alarm system? I say DEI because I believe they make more than one brand but they all work the same. Mine is a Python and is about 7 years old. The old remote went bad and I found one in my house that I never activated. I can't get the guy I know who owns a car electronics store to call me back, but someone said they thought it was a system of turning the key to KOEO and pushing the button hidden up under the dash eight times and then hitting lock on the fob. I've tried that, but no luck. I'm sure they don't even make this alarm anymore, but I would think the programing would be the same still.
Anyone know?
Oh, it is a "remote start" style alarm if that matters.
