Oil Pressure Switch

Can someone please tell me where the oil pressure switch is on a '05 E350 6.0 PSD? My filter is on the bottom, is it near or part of that housing? Thanks

Very true.......the only advantage to working on a van is it's lower, but it won't make anything easier on the oil cooler(or much else for that matter)

Should be topside unless a van is different. You would likely cuss if you have to remove the cooler on a van.

My filter is on the bottom of the engine. Is this plate still used on the van? Can I get it from the hood do you think or pull the engine cover and attack from the inside of the van?

You will still have the cooler yes, so pretty sure that switch will be in the same spot. Have you tried looking yet?
I think on the vans they just route the hoses off the cooler.
m-chan or someone else would know for sure.

This is from the 2004 "Running Changes" PDF which had a big Econoline section.

Hard to see if the pressure switch is in the same location. I think it is as there is a wire going down to something you can't see in that location. Looks like fun to access!

I think I see the pigtail for the switch tucked under the harness, just to the right of the right hand side steel line. That would put it right where you normally find them next to the turbo supply port.
Nice find fiveO

The oil pressure switch IS located on the oil cooler top cover adjacent to the EOT sensor, just like it is on an F-Series. The only reason for relocating the oil filter housing to the basement on E-Series applications is due to space constraints.
