Good deal josh! keep us posted. I sat with my dealer on 11/19 got the call about delays a week later. Maybe ill be getting a call with a vin in the next few weeks. What was your time frame from when you sat down with your dealer?

They said 6 weeks, but I took it as a grain of salt considering all the build outs online said 12-14 weeks.
Man, some of your guys' delivery dates have me worried. I ordered my 2016 f 150 screw lariat fx4 chrome package with all but 2 options in mid December. I've been told the build date is the last week of January and I should be getting it mid to late February. I do have my vin# already if that matters. But hope that I dont have to wait till April.. that would blow.

How long does it normally take to get a VIN? I ordered my truck September 10 and still do not have a VIN yet.
As soon as it has a build date, you should be able to get the VIN and be able to track it through the system. The VIN will also allow you to pull up the window sticker, which has the build date and other details encoded on it. It took less than 3 weeks from when we ordered ours to the time we had a VIN.
The online tracking system was relatively flawed when we went through this back in April/May. Maybe it's better now, but if you use it, be prepared for strangeness and conflicting information.

COTUS doesn't work for my truck. I just PM Crystal and get updates thru her.
I am using the standard cotus.ford.com. I know of COTUSB.ford.com and the cotusqa.ford.com as well.
Josh
Those are three that I know of. I assumed when I was using them that "cotus.ford.com" was the official one, "cotusB.ford.com" was some sort of Beta version, and "cotusQA.ford.com" was the QA version.
Most of the time, they all came up with the same results, but sometimes they disagreed wildly.

Interesting. In any case none work with my VIN or order number etc.

Real similar to our experience, except that our delivery was ~~ 6 June (and all the other dates shifted similarly).
