Oil question

There's a ton of info out there and most of it is at least several years old. Want to get more current thoughts on the subject from peoples experience.

I'm getting ready to go on a 2K mile trip and I'm coming up on 5K on my Rotella T6. I'm planning on changing it before I leave. I use the T6 for the cold start benefits mainly and to give the injectors a bit better oil. I don't use it to extend the OCI's as the main purpose of the truck is for towing, although I do drive it to work once or twice a week to keep her running good. I tow a 10K camper around the Colorado mountains mainly. Next year there'll be a trailer behind the camper with ATV's on it so it'll be pulling closer to 12K around the mountains. I put about 5-8K miles a year on the truck.

My questions... Is it worth spending the extra coin to go to Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck or one of the M1 Delvac's? I hear you can extend the OCI on them. Can you extend even though you're towing? Can you extend far enough to make it worth while? Are any of you guys currently towing with extended OCI's and what are you using?

Any synthetic 5W40 and change it at 5000 towing or 7500 unloaded.
