Hi Guys
I have built a 1963 Ford F100 Unibody Truck with the Crown Victoria IFS and the Ford Thunderbird Rear IRS.
The motor is a fresh built 460 EFI Block fitted out with a nice pair of old school cast C9VE-A Heads.
The truck is 90 dry built now getting ready for the tear down for paint and all the good stuff.
I do have a question that you you may be able to help me with.
would any of you have any advice on what Headers to go for? there seems plenty of space all over but as this build has been done several times before thought I would seek your advice first before I buy a set of Headers that I think may fit.
Any headers that fit the normal F100 will fit with the CV front end. I had a 390FE, and 289W mocked in with plenty more of room. So a 460 being only slightly larger would present minimal loss of space vs the FE.
On the FE I uses truck headers, and the 289 I used Mustang headers.
The biggest issue you will run into is motor mounts. Many headers head right for the driver side especially. If you made your own up to try to tie in the frame better or lower the engine.
Sanderson has some nice shorties, and rear dump models.
