Won't shift into park

Won't shift into park, Checked the two bolts and they were tight. Ended up having a rock wedged behind shift lever on the transmission. FYI.

Those are the only two causes for not shifting into park that I've ever run into.

Had the same issue with the rock about 2 weeks after buying my X! Found it after searching on here.
That was my first 'Thanks to FTE'! Now I've had many...

I had a problem with the end of my cable last year. Had to use a zip tie to get me home. As it was off by half a gate on the indicator. Just would not quite go into Park. Zip tie got me home down on the end of the cable down on the shifting lever where it went into the trans. Until I could do a real fix. Look at that connection may have to have a helper move the shifter while you look.
