What's the throttle position when it slow shifts? Have you tried 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full throttle positions to see if the shift speed changes?
The ecu reads throttle position to then calculate (through an algorithm I think) the vehicle speed to figure at what engine rpm to shift as well as how fast to shift for each and every gear.
Just about any auto garage these days has an electronics diagnostic they can hook up and see if there is an issue in the tune. Your local ford dealer will probably hook and look for free.
Do you have an aftermarket tune?
But how old/dirty is the transmission fluid?
These are questions you should be prepared to answer no matter where you take it.
