Took delivery of my 2015 F250 in June with 2WD and the 6.2 gas engine. What I thought to be a slow throttle response seems to be more of a quick shifting transmission according to two different dealerships. My 6 speed automatic has already shifted to 4th gear at only 25-30 MPH. My Dodge Hemi I sold never had shifts as quick as this and I think it's to quick. My question is....is there a way to change these shift points so I get more speed before it shifts into the higher gears? Thanks men for any and all responses.........RON

What others have said is true, as far as remedies. Tow/Haul acts like "sport" mode but sure is annoying at other times because it "won't" upshift, and it downshifts like crazy when you're braking.
BUT, the truck has been programmed from the factory to not give you full throttle until the truck hits a certain RPM level. Google this site for more details. I don't understand why Ford did this, it certainly isn't to protect the bruiser diesel transmission. 5-star tuning removes this limitation and "wakes up" the 6.2L. Also note that the 3.73 axle won't be as responsive as the 4.30, and that shifting will be different as well.
I had 2 6.2L's with 3.73. It's definitely not sharp throttle tip-in, but it will pull strongly beyond about 3,000 RPM and sound great doing it. Watch out when the truck is cold and not warmed up when pulling out into traffic. Throttle response is much worse than even the usual lag, can be dangerous. This is a great engine, however.

Yes, I have experienced really slow reaction when cold. Thanks for all the tips, the first one I will try is driving in " TOW" mode. Is there any dangers locking out some of the gears? Can I lock out say 3rd and 5th? Any recommendations as to which gears to lock out? Thanks guys........RON
Check you dealer for and trans update.
If available, your trans will have to go through the learning mode again.
My 4x4 was very similar to your issue and the update fixed it.
The lag in throttle is new to me and very annoying.
I'm used to a carbed engine with linkage and this drive by wire
crap takes some getting used to.
Ford did a poor job with the shift strategies, tq lockup, tip in and etc. Lots of lag and they short shift it to try and get every last bit of mpg out of the truck. Stock from Ford the throttle blade is not let to open completely until it is over 4500rpm. Tip in is terrible and shifting from gear to gear is way slower than it should be. Tow Haul mode doesn't do anything to fix any of the issues. You floor it and the truck has a seizure until it finally decides to shift and let the engine scream. A custom tune will fix what Ford obviously cannot manage to get done to an even adequate level. Go to 5 Star Tuning
