It's time for my first oil change on my '15 Expy. I absolutely love the truck and plan on keeping it for a long time. I've been looking at all of the choices out there in terms of what type of oil to use. Ordinarily I wouldn't put this much though into it but I'm sensitive to the fact that it is the EB motor. I'm down to the fully synthetic Mobil1 or Amsoil. Can you push me one way or another?
I agree completely. Motorcraft all the way with the oil and filter. Brand loyalty needs to take second place to any question with that warranty if needed someday.
I went with Amsoil after talking to the people at my local Ford dealership. Between the oil change and starting to put premium fuel into it, I'm starting to see the advertised MPG claims. Thanks
My local dealer tells me that the only they are concerned about is the use of a MC oil filter. They claim that all oils of a particular blend ie, syn blend, full syn, etc are equal in quality.
