Frx mod

This mod had me so pissed off trying to install it i wish inhad never bought it......seriously....how GD hard does it have to be to get a threaded fitting started

I don't have the FRx yet, but it is on my list of things to do next spring. Are any of the threads damaged in any way to prevent easy installation? Perhaps you can state which step of the process you are in and others can offer some advice or lessons learned.

Ahhhh im just venting lol.....threading the new fittings back into where the plugs were was a real pita.....took me 3 hours to thread the pass side in, its just realllllly tight....the back one on the drivers side i got right in

I had a heck of a time with the passenger side as well. Getting the thread started was a pain as well as tightening it up. Glad to hear you got it. Your truck will thank you for it.

It has been a couple of years but it doesn't stand out in my mind that I had a problem starting them. I have an early 99 so the Drivers side I had to grind down my up-pipe collector to allow for clearance.

I have been in your shoes though, you buy something that is supposed to make things better but it is a major pain to install and you wonder why you did it until after it is all done. Then you are happy you did.

I noticed a difference within the first 10 minutes of driving, more noticeable at idle that the injectors sound quieter, less ping ping ping sound from the drivers side.
