Trans temp gauge

Hey guys - Anybody with any good trans temp gauge reports ? My Isspro (EV-1)is still not right & I am tired of trying to make it work.Seems like once it gets warmed up it will work halfass ok. Otherwise it bounces like all over the place. Was looking at the Maxtow-DV12. Price seems right. Anyone use these.

I'd call Isspro and talk to Michael. He has taken care of any problems I've had, and it was always promptly remedied, and free.

Have you double checked your grounds and wiring connections? The needle on my pyro was bouncing around a while back, and it turned out to be the connection directly behind the gauge. It didn't seem to snap in very securely, but I think much of it had to do with the way I bundled and secured the wires when I installed it. Too much weight of the wiring pulled on that connection with vibration and going over bumps. Once I fixed that, it was no longer an issue.

I'll check the connection at the gauge. I did check the ground a while back. If that doesn't work I'll give Michael a call - Thanks guys

If you can't get the ISSPRO working, I highly recommend the Maxtow DV gauges from Glowshift.

Appreciate that Mike - I was reading that the Glowshifts were real bright at night. Do your gauges have the 3 level dimming to get around that ?

Yes, they have 3 level dimming, but it is not a huge change/adjustment. Mine are down on my F650 dash where their brightness is not much of a factor. I got mine in green like the rest of the dash lights so they all match. The trans. temp gauge I just bought to go with the others I bought a couple of years ago dims to a lower light output, so I think Glowshift listened to the feedback from folks saying they were too bright at night.

Does the EV-1 use an amplifier box? When my Isspro tranny gauge was messing up it was oxidized connections on the amplifier.

I'll try that also this weekend. I have the Isspro boost, fuel pressure & pyro temp & all have worked flawlessly for many years.
