Isspro trans temp gauge acting up
When I get in the truck in the morning my Isspro Ev2 trans temp gauge is pointing at 6 o'clock. After a few miles of driving it will "cycle" from 6 o'clock to The 100 deg mark back and forth about 3 times then start working correctly....
Im curious if this is normal, or should I get it replaced?

I would bet it is a connection issue. Double check your pin connection on the back. Probably an insufficent contact, if not, just call me.

I have the same prob it has only happend 3 or 4 times since I put the gauges in recently. It only seems to happen when its cold out, mine will cycle 3-6 times. Anyway I called Isspro and was told it can be fixed with a sofetware update. You just have to ship the gauge to them and I was told they can do it in 1 day. I havn't done it yet.

I had the same problem. Drove me crazy for a couple months. I checked the connection at the tranny, still had the same issue. My tranny guage would read normal, then go to 280 then back to normal. Here is what it was.. on the orange Amp box there are a bunch of small wires that come pre wired on the box. they have like silicone on the small crews to hold them in place. They wires were loose under the silicone. I removed the silicone and reseated all the wires. havent had a problem since. Seems they do a rush job at the factory. Now i have the same issue with my pyro guage either working or not.. I havent had a chance to dive into that problem but it is very similar to the tranny problem. so check those connections as well before getting in to deep. jeff

Sounds like what mine was doing. I'll have to check the connections on the box.
