Small update, went to pull the t-case adapter from my parts truck today, utrns out it has a 435. Doh. Can't find a T18 adapter anywhere. Guess I'm going to rebuild the 435 and run it, It is quite sloppy and always popped out of 3rd. Kinda sucks since I already tore down 2 T18's to swap the output shaft and already installed it in the truck.

I have an adapter off an old 4 speed...not sure if it's for a 435 or T18 as it was in the back of a parts truck I picked up years ago. I can dig it out and pull some numbers off it if you'd like to see if it would work for you; I have no use for it.

A quick measurement would do, np435 is around 8 5/8" long, t18 is around 7 5/8"

Love the "cardboard assisted design"

If all goes well I'll be acquiring me a long wheel base 1971 F350 cab and chassis that will undergo this conversion, it's nice to see it all laid out step by step.

What are you running for a MIG welder?

Ok. Had to take my youngest to get new shoes when I got home, so I'll run out soon and get that measurement for you.

**ok, ran out quick and dug it out of my stash. It measures 8 1/8", so 1/2" shorter than the 435?

Not much of an update, next to zero garage time lately. I mounted the steering gear and made a mock drag link from a broom handle, track bar to drag link angle looks right on. I stuck a bald 35x12.50 I had on my new wheels. Fits pretty good. Tire only measures out to 33" though.

Got some 5.5 inch lift coils and buckets from an EB a buddy is 4 linking on air struts. Got his old parts. The coils are slightly bowed but should be all right.

Got a good afternoon in working on the truck. It's now a roller. I tacked on my coil buckets and got the truck actually sitting in its own axles. No jackstands! Shackle flipped the rear with the original hangers. Moved them a couple inches forward and a couple inches down. Need to pick up shims to correct pinion angle.

The shackles are going to be beefed up and square tubing added to the frame for the bottom hanger bolts.

Right where i needed to bolt the hanger there was a square hole. Had to make it round.

Makes the 31's look tiny. I stuck a 35 on and it's just right. Brakes and steering are next. Going hydro boost on this to help slow down the big rubbers.

Some good news this weekend. After months of searching for a t18/205 adapter i had given up and just planned on rebuilding/instaling a 435 I have.

Friday afternoon I picked up a fresh 205 off a local buy/sell Facebook page just because it was dirt cheap, brought it home and discovered it has the hard to find t18 adapter on it. This'll save me from rebuilding and installing a 435 and I'll be able to run the t18 I already installed.

I test fit the adapter and Installed the t case shifter for a test fit. It feels good to have 2 sticks coming through the floor.
