Plug In Temperatures
I may be in a minority, but here at my place if it's below 40, theres always a truck plugged in. Be it my Peterbilt work truck or my F350. The electric bill really doesn't change much and is still lower than summer a/c use. The work truck gets plugged in whenever I get home. If I know I'm going to drive the pickup that night, I'll unplug the Pete and plug in the Ford. Friday mornings I plug the Ford in for the weekend. I may not unplug it til I plug the Pete back in Sunday. But if I want it it'll be warm quick.
I agree with Senix, if it's extremely cold out go easy on it til you see the temps coming up. This morning it was 10 here with nasty wind and the Pete was grouchy even after being plugged in. The Ford handles those temps much better.
Full disclosure----I don't pay the electric bill! But the power company calls the wife if I'm out of line..................
