97 7.3
First post and first diesel. I'm looking to buy a 97 F350 w/171k on it. What are some common things to look for . They person selling it is the original owner. Once I get it what would you guys suggest I do when I get home regarding P.M. Thanks for the input and info in advance

Things you dont want is excessive blow by, and id its possible remove the intake boot from the turbo and see if the turbo wheel looks worn out if so dusted engine no good.
Worn out suspension components, check to see if tranny is slipping if auto and gears engage with no grinding if hand shaker. Rust seems to be a thing up north
