Wife doesnt understand the hot rod rake? Need help!

Wife doesnt understand the hot rod rake? Need help!
Last night, I showed my wife a picture of a '56 I liked. She said, "it's nice, but I don't like how it leans forward.." I said, "but that's how mine is?!" She said, "I know."
I spend a lot of money on my truck and usually like to pretend that she likes it too (so I don't feel bad). So I wanted to explain why it was cool so she would like it to...but all I could think of was it looks like it's going fast when standing still...haha. She says "I like them level."
Now I like trucks that are level too, but I prefer the big n little/raked stance.
Can any of you help me convince her that the hot rod rake is cool and why??

Good luck with that. I tried to explain the coolness of the satin paint look and even applied it to one of my rides. Every time she walked by she said something like "Thought you said you were gonna paint that P.O.S." 
Eventually I gave up and put some glossy paint on it. Mostly I do what I want but like you said, these toys are very expensive and it sure doesn't hurt when they like them too.

As I recall from my younger days, the rake actually came about from running much larger wheels/tires on the rear, mostly for drag racing. I personally don't like the looks of it on a street truck and honestly I could not come up with any kind of a coherent reason for it.

Tell her the truck is lower in the front so when you drive on rutted roads the truck drags and will smooth out the road. Skunks, armadillos, coons, and other small animals don't stand a chance.
