replacement headlights ??

Looking at these replacement branded headlight for a 2003 f-250 and wondering is they are.

1.) good quality replacement that will fit on 2003 year.. these lights are for 2005 model..

2.) will they fit with no or little modifications on truck.

3.) will not leak or other issues..

I don't know on the quality, but I do know that you will have to modify the fiber glass header panel some. Easy job no big deal.

Here is a write up from Riffraffs site.

I think for a little more I would be going with the Ford Motor Company ones from Riffraff Diesel. Over the years I have seen nothing but problems from the Chinese knockoffs. Leaks, fogging up, hazing etc. Save yourself the trouble and stay OEM.

I would go with the OEM units for sure myself. I went with the TYC's from Rock Auto about 3 years ago and they are not crystal clear anymore. They are starting to get a slight haze over them so I will putting in the OEM units after I get the truck painted.

so in looking at the change out for the new lights it appears to be a bit harder than just taking old lights out and putting new lights in..

how much is involved in this process.. the info on rif raff is quite long for the change out, cutting out a large chunk and front bumper and such..

might just stay with what i got.. at least for now..

Front bumper??? There is no front bumper work at all. Really pretty easy and use a dremel.

Stock grill, stock bumper. Didn't touch either. Not telling you what to do by any means.

Edit: I see where it says to loosen the bumper bolts on Riffraffs site, but I didn't have to do any of that.

they do look nice on that dude, dude. so basicly just have cut the fiberglass for new lights and how do they now mount..?? I have not taken or looked at mine thus far. but if you say it easy i will reconsider the project. I was unsure why to take or loosen front bumper as well..

thanks

PS you have an RV you pull??

You will also need the wiring adaptors which are available on Ebay for about $10....

The '05-'07 headlights use different bulbs too....

Go to a local salvage yard and get a nice pair. There is a junk yard down here, that sells the factory ones for 35 dollars all day long. Just check them out and make sure there are not cracks, they are coming off a wrecked truck.
